The grounds where complex Grand Hotel Dimyat is built are emblematic for Varna. This used to be the location of Restaurant Dimyat, well known to generations of locals and guests of the city.  On that same spot was located the alehouse “Grozd”, where in 1932 Nikola Jonkov Vaptsarov a famous Bulgarian poet gives a speech in honor of the graduation of the cadets from Bulgarian Naval Academy later renamed to Nikola Vaptsarov Naval Academy.

The remarkable location of the building, right next to the Sea Garden, gives the opportunity for combining the functions of an office building and a modern city hotel, as well as providing services in all fields of community life – holding of national and international, cultural and commercial events, sports and leisure.
